Because transaction confirmation requires an action by the merchant, in rare cases it may take up to 45 days. Miles expire after two years of account inactivity. Transactions with SkyMiles Shopping count as activity, and will provide another two years without expiration. HOWEVER, the miles must post to count as activity. Shopping miles are posted to your account using the date that you made the purchase as the activity date. SkyMiles Shopping powered by Cartera Commerce, Inc. is not responsible for miles that expire due to slow transaction posting.
